Interactive Searching Behavior with Elements-Based on XML Documents Retrieval System

엘리먼트 기반 XML 검색 시스템에서의 이용자의 정보 탐색 행태 연구

The aim of this study was to investigate the users' behaviour when interacting with elements based on XML documents retrieval system and develop approaches for XML retrieval which are effective in user-based environment. We followed the experimental guidelines from the INEX 2006 iTrack organizers. For the research goals, 16 responses from the questionnaires per subject and system logs were collected and analyzed using Excel and SPSS 17.0.

본 연구의 궁극적인 목적은 엘리먼트 기반의 구조화된 XML 검색 시스템에서 나타나는 이용자의 정보 탐색행태를 조사하여 XML 검색에 대한 이용자 기반의 효과적인 접근점을 도출하기 위한 것이다. 본 연구의 실험절차 및 방법은 INEX 2006의 iTrack(Interactive Track)을 따랐고 실험을 위해 인문계열과 이공계열의 대학생 총 16명이 참가하였다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위한 기초 데이터는 실험 참가자를 대상으로 한 실험전과 실험후의 서베이와 검색전과 검색후의 서베이를 통해 수집되었고 검색 수행의 전 과정은 시스템 로그로 자동 저장되었다. 수집된 데이터는 Excel과 SPSS 17.0을 사용하여 분석하였고 결론을 도출하였다.
