  19. 1.0 mL of aqueous solutions of 1.0 mM HAuCl4 and 1.0 mM Na2PdCl4, were prepared. A piece of Ge wafer was immersed into the aqueous solution of 1.0 mM HAuCl4. After 15 min, the germanium wafer was rinsed with deionized water, and immersed again into the aqueous solution of 1.0 mM Na2PdCl4 for another 15 min (Au/Pd). The resulting Ge substrate was thoroughly rinsed with deionized water to remove unreacted precursors, and then dried under ambient conditions. The opposite sequential reaction was applied to prepare Pd/Au sample
