우리나라 대학도서관의 국가대출체계 구축에 관한 연구

A Research on the Feasibility of Establishing the National Reciprocal Borrowing Scheme for Academic Libraries in Korea

초록

이 연구의 목적은 우리나라 대학도서관들의 국가대출체계의 구축 및 운영 타당성에 대하여 검토하는 것이다. 주요한 다른 나라의 대학도서관들 사이에 자원공유를 위한 전략적 대안으로서 시행되고 있는 국가 혹은 지역대출체계의 개념과 특성을 살펴보고, 우리나라의 현황에서 적용할 수 있는 전략적 방안을 제안하였다. 국가대출체계 선도기관의 확정, 방문관리, 상호수혜, 재정 지원 등과 같은 운영방침의 설정, 이용자 자격과 서비스 범위, 통합관리시스템 지원 등의 필요성을 지적하였다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the feasibility of establishing the national reciprocal borrowing scheme for academic libraries in Korea. The national or regional borrowing schemes could be operated to further the resource sharing among academic libraries as an alternative or supplement to ILL. In this research, the characteristics of those borrowing schemes in other countries are discussed, and some strategic plans, including the organization in charge and the operating principles, are suggested for the national borrowing scheme in Korea.

  24. 대학시스템은 앞 장에서 언급한 바 있는 캘리포니아주립대학(UC) 시스템에 열 개의 캠퍼스가 있는 것처럼, 주로 주립대학과 같이 단일 관리체계 하의 대학이 여러 지역에 캠퍼스를 갖고 있는 것을 말함. 플로리다주에는 예를 들어, 플로리다주립대학 시스템, 남부플로리다주립대학 시스템 등이 있음. 공립학교 시스템도 마찬가지로 특정한 공립학교가 여러 개의 지역에 캠퍼스를 갖고 있으면서, 단일 체계 하에 운영됨
