IP Mobility Management 기술 동향

Abstract

Internet World Stats에 의하면 2007년 말로 세계 인터넷 사용자는 13 억 명을 넘었으며 기술 신생국가를 중심으로 사용자 수가 더욱 급속한 속도로 증가하고 있다고 하니, 당연히 현대 인류사회를 인터넷 사회라고 일컬을 만하다. 요즘에 더욱 다양한 형태의 인터넷 서비스로 확산되면서 인터넷 기술의 특성으로 인해 기능적인 문제와 사회적인 문제가 크게 대두되고 있다. 그러나, 현재까지의 인터넷의 확산 속도와 위세로 미루어볼 때에 현존 인터넷 기술의 문제점을 극복하고 이로부터 새로운 기술과 서비스를 도모하는 방향으로의 진전이 예상되고 있다. 본고에서는 현재 인터넷기술의 본연적 특성으로 인해 제한되고 있지만 가까운 시점에서 반드시 실현되어야 할 중요한 주제인 인터넷 이동성 관리 기술에 대한 현황과 미래 동향을 기술하고자 한다.
