Aspect of Human-Centered Design in Contemporary Design of Time and Change : Focus on Analysis of Affordance and Psychological Bases

현대 시간성 디자인의 인간중심 디자인적 측면 : 어포던스에 의거한 행태지원 측면 분석을 중심으로

Post-modern period differentiates itself from Modern period in many aspects. One of these is the emphasis on phenomena which are ephemeral and changing. This paper looks at the psychological bases of these expressions of time & change in contemporary design and their affordances on human behavior. It also analyzes the types of time & change design on the basis of the behaviors they afford. This will lead us to the understanding of how the design including time & change expresses the spirit of the age and how it can play positive roles in human psychology.

21세기로 접어들면서 공간의 확정성이 강하던 모더니즘에서 벗어나 디자인에 있어 시간성과 가변성, 불확정성을 수용하고 구조결정력이 약화되는 경향들이 나타나고 있다. 본 연구는 이런 시간성에 의한 변화의 개입이라는 요소가 디자인에서 수용되고 있는 상황을 인간중심 디자인과 행태지원성이라는 관점에서 연구해 보고자 한다. 시간성에 의한 변화라는 요소가 인간의 행동에 미치게 되는 영향을 심리학적 연결기제와 행태지원 측면을 중심으로 하여 알아본다. 또 이런 시간성에 의한 변화의 요인이 인간의 행태를 지원하는 방식에 의거해 시간성 디자인의 유형을 분류하고 각 유형별 사례들을 분석해 본다. 이를 통해 시간성에 의한 변화의 도입 경향이 인간의 심리에 어떠한 긍정적인 역할을 할 수 있는지와 현 시대의 시대성을 어떻게 표출하고 있는가를 검토해 보고자 한다.
