Thermal Characteristics of an OADM Using FBG for a DWDM

FBG를 이용한 DWDM용 OADM의 온도 특성에 관한 연구

In this paper, we propose an optical add-drop multiplexer(OADM) for dense-WDM (DWDM) which consists of the fiber Bragg grating(FBG) filter and investigate the temperature characteristics of it. To resolve the characteristics, we find and analyze numerically its temperature response, and fabricate an OADM and measure its output spectrum. From the obtained results, we khow that the center wavelength of output spectrum shifts approximately 0.01230$nm/^{\circ}C$ within a temperature range $-30^{\circ}C{\sim}90^{\circ}C$.

본 논문에서는 FBG 필터로 구성된 DWDM용 OADM을 제안하고 그 온도 특성에 대해 연구하였다. 제안된 OADM의 온도 특성을 분석하기 위해서, OADM의 온도 응답을 구하고 수치 해석하였으며, OADM을 제작하여 그 출력 스펙트럼을 측정하였다. 그 결과로 부터 $-30^{\circ}C{\sim}90^{\circ}C$ 범위 내에서 제안된 OADM의 출력 스펙트럼 중심 파장이 약 0.01230$nm/^{\circ}C$로 변화함을 알 수 있었다.
