Abstract

This paper deals with the mechanism and control protocols required in order to reconcile the P2MP topology into the Ethernet framework. This paper specifies the multi-point control protocol(MPCP) to operate an optical multi-point network. Also it is applied to method of bandwidth limitation of downstream traffic

가입자 망에서의 음성, 데이터 및 영상 등 복합 서비스를 위한 대역폭 요구를 충족시키기 위해서 연구 개발되는 EPON에 대한 전반적인 개요와 EPON의 전송 제어 방식인 MPCP에 대해서 간략하게 설명하고, EPON에서 하향 데이터에 대한 대역 제한에 대한 필요성과 하향 데이터 대역 제한을 하기 위한 방법을 제시 하였다
