Editor's Note: On the occasion of the publication of the 100th issue (Vol. 42, Number 2) of the Journal of the Korea Society of Mathematical Education Series A: "The Mathematical Education", Professors Hyman Bass (President of the International Commission on Mathematics Instruction) and Bernard R.
