Abstract
Generally, jet loom is exposed to a more vibration and noise problems than those of the other textile machinery due to weaving mechanism. Thus jet loom main frame becomes an important role to understand dynamic characteristics of the noise and vibration problems. In this study, the dynamic characteristics of jet loom main frame is investigated by experimental methods. The dynamic characteristics such as natural frequencies and mode shapes are compared for two different jet loom main frames to suggest better design for the reduction of noise and vibration.
