디자인 논문에 대한 통계적 기법 활용의 적정성에 관한 연구 -디자인학연구에 게재된 논문을 중심으로-

After the industrial revolution, the design concepts have established by the basis of the ornament and styling and emphasized in the respect of characteristics of the art and manufacture. On the other side, theoretical research part of design has neglected. But, the modem concepts of design is changing into new concept that shares the attributes of various sides of sociology, cultural sciences, engineering and business adminstration study. In accordance with the change of design concept, the utility frequency of the statistical method is increasing in the ares of design. In this paper, we evaluated the adequacy of statistical method of the design papers that were published in the Journal of Korean Society of Design Science.

디지털 시대를 맞이하여 현대적 개념의 디자인은 제품 개발에 있어서 디자이너 개인의 감각에 의존하기보다는 소비자와의 요구와 제품에 대한 반응을 조사 분석하고 이를 반영하는 인터랙션 디자인의 개념으로 전환되고 있다. 또한 사회학, 인문학, 공학, 경영학 등 여러 학문분야의 속성을 공유하는 다학제 적 특징을 지닌 응용학문으로 인식되면서 학문으로서의 연구 필요성이 점차적으로 강조되고 있다. 이러한 특징으로 인해 디자인 분야는 인접학문에서 자주 사용되던 통계적 기법들의 사용빈도가 늘어가고 있다. 통계적 기법의 활용은 논문을 좀 더 과학적이고, 객관적인 것으로 만드는 근간이 되고 있다. 이러한 이유로 디자인 학문 역시 논문에서 통계적 기법의 활용 빈도가 늘어나리라 예상된다. 본 연구에서는 디자인 연구 논문에서 사용된 통계적 기법의 적정성 여부를 평가하여 디자인 학 분야의 연구활동에 참고하고자 한다. 디자인 학회는 1980년에 창간호를 발간한 후 2002년까지 48권 이상의 디자인학회지인 $\boxDr$디자인학연구$\boxUl$ 를 발간해오고 있다. 디자인에 관한 학문의 기초의 근간을 마련하고 있는 $\boxDr$디자인학연구$\boxUl$ 지에 실진 논문들을 대상으로 활용된 통계적 기법의 종류와 적절하게 사용되었는지의 타당성 평가를 실시하고자한다. 이를 통해 $\boxDr$디자인학연구$\boxUl$ 지가 깊이 있는 연구의 장이 되고, 논문의 질적 향상에 기여하고자 한다.
