Abstract
Four kinds of neutral sodium salts with different anions, NaF, NaCl, NaBr, and NaI, were added to the dye bath to accurately understand the effect of anions on the reactive dyeing of silk with C. I. Reactive Black 5. The sodium cation towered the negative surface potential of the silk and increased the dye-uptake on fille fabric as reported previously.
