A Study on Factors Influencing Information Systems Planning's Effectiveness

Information Systems Planning(ISP) has gained considerable interest among researchers and practioners in recent years because of the large investments that firms have made in IS and the increasingly strategic nature of the impact of information systems on organization performance. This study aims at analyzing IS process factors influencing ISP's effectiveness. The data collected were analyzed using statistical techniques if canonical correlation analysis. The following results were obtained. There was significant relationship between ISP process and ISP's effectiveness. Specially, business-led approach affects ISP problems. To conclude, the result of this study have practical implications that CEO or IS manager must consider IS process factors to improve ISP's effectiveness.
