Abstract
Recently, the research on aromatic and antimicrobial finishing has been widely developed to meet the increasing consumer demands for pleasant and susceptible materials. The purpose of this study is to develop multifunctional fabrics by attaching microcapsules contaning tea tree oil on wool/polyester fabric. The prepolymer was made from melamine-fromaldehyde as wall materials of microcapsules. The melamine resin microcapsules were characterized by the mean particle size and size distribution, thermal properties and release behavior. antimicrobial activity and wash fastness of wool/polyester fabric treated withmicrocapsules were also investigated.
