Abstract
A spectrometer measures the color precisely, but it can not judge whether fabric is dyed level or not. A system for detecting unlevel dyed parts of fabric based on the CIE 1976 $L^{\ast}a^{\ast}b^{\ast}$ color space and color difference formula was developed. In order to perform the study, we used proper digital image processing techniques and a color difference formula for fabric images obtained from a scanner. The results of this research present visual binary image indicating unlevel dyed parts and information about the location and size of unlevel dyed parts.
