Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the service of Web OPACs in public libraries. Thirty-eight public libraries are grouped into eight class by the type of system and user interface. The Libraries in the eight class of them are analyzed by five characteristics. The result of this study shows that both functions and interface design of the Web OPACs in public library need to be improved for them.
본 연구는 공공도서관의 웹목록 서비스를 조사 분석하였다. 연구의 조사대상으로는 1999년 6월 30일 현재 웹목록을 구축한 전국의 38개 공공도서관을 선정하였으며 시스템과 인터페이스특성에 따라8개 그룹으로 나누었다. 8개의 유형별 웹목록은 운영상의 특징, 접근점특성, 탐색특성, 출력특성, 지원특성별로 분석하였다. 그 결과 이용자 인터페이스 기능의 수정 보완이 필요하며 더 많은 공공도서관의 참여가 요구되었다.
