Efficient Range Search Method for Multi-dimensional Sequence Database

다차원 시퀀스 데이터베이스를 위한 효율적인 범위 검색 기법

Abstract

시간의 흐름에 따라 순차적으로 생성되는 연속적인 데이터의 모임을 시퀀스라 한다. 저장된 시퀀스에서 질의로 주어진 시퀀스와 유사한 것을 찾는 문제에 대한 기존의 연구는 대부분 하나의 속성만을 대상으로 한것이며, 여러 속성으로 구성된 다차원 시퀀스에 대해서는 아직까지 활발한 연구가 이루어지지않고 있다. 본 논문에서는 유사도에 기반한 다차원 시퀀스의 범위 검색 문제를 정의하고 세 가지 검색 기법을 기술한다. 순차 검색 기법, 속성별 인덱스 구조, 차원 감소 기법을 이용한 다차원 시퀀스의 검색 기법을 기술하고 질의에 대해 어떤 검색 기법이 효율적인지 실험을 통해 보인다.
