Abstract
A braided structure has superior mechanical properties in comparison with other reinforcement configurations, since the fibers are continuously oriented in braided fabric. In this study, the thermoplastic braid composites were fabricated under different molding conditions and braid angle by using paralleled yarn. The bending and tensile strengths in the axial and transverse directions were investigated. The relationship between bending and tensile strengths in the axial direction and braiding angle was linear and could be represented by the equation, Y=B-Ax(Y; strength, A, B; experimental constant, x; braid angle).
