Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fibers spun at various take-up velocity in the range of 4,500~6,000 m/min. were prepared and the relationships between the structure and dyeing properties of the fiber were studied. The fibers spun at high take-up velocity showed the characteristic structure-high crystallinity and low orientation compared with conventionally drawn yarn. As the take-up speed increased, the dyeing transition temperature (T$_{d}$) of the PET fiber decreased and the dependency of dyeing rate constant (k) on dyeing temperature also decreased. This indicates that high speed spun PET fiber can be dyed at relatively low temperature. Variation of T$_{d}$ and the dependency of k on dyeing temperature were discussed in relation to the skin/core structure of the fibers produced during high speed spinning.ing.
