Abstract
Background : Pentadecanoic glyceride is one of the recently introduced treatment modality for male pattern alopecia. We have compared the efficacy and hair regrowth of pentadecanoic glyceride between treatment group and placebo group of male pattern alopecia. Methods : 103 patients of male pattern alopecia were treated with topical pentadecanoic glyceride twice a day for 24weeks. Subjective and objective clinical symptoms were assesed at the start, 12weeks and 24weeks each. Hair growth were measured by photographic quantitative method at the start, 12weeks and 24weeks and the number of regenerating hair was counted. Results : Treatment group showed statistically significant increase of hair growth at 24weeks. Treatment group showed improvement of clinical symptoms. Conclusion : Topical application of pentadecanoic glyceride was found ta be effective for the treatment of male pattern alopecia.
연구배경 : 남성형 탈모증의 원인규명을 위해 많은 연구가 진행되어 왔는데. 최근에는 모낭의 에너지 대사와 탈모의 상관관계에 대한 연구가 활발하게 이루어지고 있고, Adachi 등은 토끼를 이용한 동물실험으로 에너지대사에 관련한 물질을 중심으로 관찰하여 평가한 결과 이중 지방산(fatty acid)의 일종인 펜타데칸산글리세리드(PDG)의 유효성을 발견하였다. 저자들은 두피모낭의 에너지 대사와 관련된 것으로 알려진 지방성구조를 갖는 지용성 2.5% PDG 도포액(모발력
