Abstract

This research investigated the possibility of coloration and anti-static property by sputtering on polyester fabrics. Polyester fabrics had been sputtered with gold and titan under various conditions in the presence of argon gas. We compared color, color difference, half value period and static voltage of these samples. As a result of investigation, we can find that color of sputtered samples has come out the same color as a target. Color difference of sputtered polyester fabrics increased with increasing treatment time and gas pressure and with decreasing electrode distance. There was little color difference between before and after 5 times washing of sputtered polyester fabrics. We can find that anti-static property of sputtered samples were improved by decreasing half value period and static voltage.
