Abstract

The first - stage study of the three - stage SWATH ship development program of Hyundai Maritime Research Institute has been completed. Various computer programs have been prepared in advance to calculate and predict various properties and characteristics of SWATH ships. With these design tools, theoretical analyses for the systematic variation of design parameters were performed, and step - by - step model tests were carried out to derive the final configuration.

현대중공업 선박해양연구소에서는 3단계로 구성된 SWATH선 개발 계획을 수립하고 연구를 수행 중에 있다. 제1단계는 승객 300명, 선속 35노트, 운항거리 250 해상 마일의 소형고속 SWATH 여객선을 개발하는 것이다. 본 연구를 효율적으로 수행하기 위하여 연구초기에 SWATH선의 여러가지 유체정역학 및 유체동역학적 특성을 단시간 내에 계산 및 추정할 수 있는 각종 전산 프로그램을 먼저 개발하여 놓았다. 설계를 위한 각종 전산 프로그램의 개발과 함께 설계변수의 변화에 대한 체계적인 이론적 분석과 선정된 선형에 대한 단계적인 모형시험을 통하여 최종설계에 도달하였다.
