Ten kinds of fabrics consisting of wool, polyester and wool/polyester and were assessed by 57 judges for sensory hand quality and preference. Data were analyzed by Pearson correlation coefficients, factor analysis and paired t-Test. The semantic differential scale and 7 point scale were used to measure sensory hand qualities and hand preference respectively. Subjective quality of hand was explained by three factors. The most preferred fabric was a blend of 80% boot and 20% polyester and the least preferred one was 100% polyester fabric. In general judges preferred wool to polyester fabric. In general, wool fabric was preferred more than polyester fabric and twill weave fabric was preferred more than plain weave fabric. Women's judgements were more sensitive and consistent than men's judgements.
