An experimental investigation of air-jet texturing is reported. Through the experiments the following results obtained, Textured yarn tenacity decreased as take-up speed increased until 400 m/min but above 400 m/min textured yarn tenacity increased. Textured yarn breaking elongation decreased as take-up speed increased until 400 m/min but textured yarn breaking elongation increased above 400 m/min of take-up speed. The higher the air pressure, the lower the tenacity and breaking elongation but the higher the linear density. The higher the overfeed ratio, the lower the tenacity and breaking elongation but the higher the linear density. The higher the take-up speed and the lower the air pressure and over feed ratio, the lower the effect of interlacing.
