The Egg Morphology and Larval Development of the Pipefish, Syngnathus schelegeli Kaup

실고기, Syngnathus schlegeli 난(卵)의 형태(形態) 및 산출(産出) 자치어(仔稚魚)의 형태(形態) 발달(發達)

The pipefish Syngnathus schelegeli was reared in the laboratory from May to June 1991 and observed the morphology of eggs and larvae squeezed from the parent fish(male). The diameter of inseminated eggs ranged from 0.72 to 1.01 mm (n=50), and yolk in yellow color were found in the eggs. The newly beared larvae were 10.9 mm in average standard length and had 59~60 myomeres. In 6 days after bearing, the post larvae attained 13.8 mm in average standard length and the low jaw was developed. The larvae of 14.1 mm in average standard length (8 days after bearing) had 40~42 fin rays in dorsal fin, 9 in caudal fin and 13~14 in pectoral fin. The juvenile of 14.7 mm in average standard length (10 days after bearing) had the well elongated snout along with the opercular and caudal fin similar to adult stage's.

1991년(年) 5월(月)과 6월(月)에 부산시 강서구 명지동에 위치한 낙동강 하구역(河口域)에서 실고기 수컷어미 5마리를 채보(採補)하여, 이들 수컷어미의 육아낭(育兒囊)에서 인위적(人爲的)으로 채란(採卵)하여 난(卵)의 형태(形態)를 관찰하였고, 육아낭(育兒囊)에서 산출(産出) 자어(仔魚)를 사육하면서 형태(形態) 발달(發達)을 관찰하였다. 1. 수정란(受精卵)은 거의 구형 또는 타원형이며, 난경(卵徑) 0.72~1.01 mm로 많은 소유구(小油球) 가지고 있고, 난황(卵黃)은 황색(黃色)을 띤다. 2. 육아낭(育兒囊)에서 갓 산출(産出)한 자어(仔魚)는 평균(平均) 체장(體長)이 10.9 mm로 입과 항문이 열려 있으며, 주둥이를 제외한 부분이 성어(成魚)의 체형(體形)과 닮아있고, 근절(筋節)은 59~60개로 각 근절 표면에 체륜(體輪) (골판(骨板))이 형성(形成)되기 시작한다. 3. 산출후(産出後) 6일(日)째의 후기자어(後期仔魚)는 평균(平均) 체장(體長)이 13.8 mm로 아래턱이 더욱 커져 발달하고, 아가미뚜껑 부분이 발달하여 열려 있다. 4. 산출후(産出後) 8일(日)째의 개체(個體)는 평균(平均) 체장(體長) 14.1 mm로 등지느러미에 40~42개, 꼬리지느러미에 9개, 가슴지느러미에 13~14개의 줄기가 완전하게 형성되어 치어기(稚魚期)에 달한다. 5. 산출후(産出後) 10일(日)째의 추어(推魚)는 평균(平均) 체장(體長) 14.7 mm로 주둥이는 더욱 길어지며, 아가미와 꼬리지느러미가 더욱 발달하여 성어(成魚)의 체형(體型)과 거의 유사(類似)해진다.
