Abstract

Unidirectional composites were fabricated under different cooling conditions and holding times by using commingled yarn which consisted of glass fibre as the reinforcing fibre and PP. Nylon6 and PET as the matrix fibres. Longitudinal bending stress was investigated by three point bending test. The relationships between the bending stress and the fabricating conditions (cooling, holding time and molding pressure) of thermoplastic composites were discussed.
