Abstract

The bending property of textile material and clothing is a critical to their performances such as the fabric handle, the drape, the fabric formability. the shape retention and the wrinkle recovery. The fabric bending behavior is known to be influenced by the weave structure, the number of yale twist, the yarn linear density, the fabric density and the processing shrinkage. In this study, the effects of polyester fabric structural parameters and the processing shrinkage on the bending behavior have been investigated. First correlation analysis between bending properties and the fabric structural parameter has been conducted for analyzing non-linear relationship between the fabric structural parameter and the bending properties. Secondly. interrelationship among the processing shrinkage, the bending properties and the fabric structural parameter were studied.
