An Empirical Study on the Improvement of Library Functions by the Utilization of CD-ROM

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to answer a question as to "How much does CD-ROM improve thefunction of library\ulcorner" and, then, to build up an analytical framework to analyze the above question.The hypothesis is statistically tested with the responses of 282(70.5%) librarians in the libraries whichare currently using CD-ROM. The hypothesis is positively or vigorously supported by four steps.Therefore, the researcher suggests strongly at a plan to utilize CD-ROM be forwarded to improvelibrary functions. library functions.

본 논문의 목적은 "CD-ROM의 활용이 얼마나 도서관의 기능을 증진시켜 주는가" 하는 것이다. 문헌적 고찰을 토대로 가설을 정립하고 가설검증을 위한 분석틀을 작성한 다음, CD-ROM을 사용하는 사서들이 응답한 282부(70.5%)의 설문지로 분석하였다. 측정도구에 관한 신뢰성과 타당성을 크론바하 알파와 인자분석으로 검증하였으며, 인자분석, 다변인회귀분석, 통로분석 등을 사용하여 가설을 검증하였다. 검증결과, 본 연구의 가설을 강력하게 지지하고 있는 것으로, 도서관의 기능을 증진시키기 위해서는 Cd-ROM의 활용이 적극적으로 추진되는 것이 바람직하다는 결론을 얻었다.는 결론을 얻었다.
