The Effect of Cyclic Oligomer on the Crystallization of - $(CH_2)_n$ -CONH- Type Miphatic Polyamides
고리올리고머가 -$(CH_2)_n$ -CONH-형 지방족 폴리아미드의 결정화에 미치는 영향
Abstract
The effect of cyclic oligomer on the crystallization of aliphatic polyamide homologues (such as nylon 6, 11, and 12), is investigated by using HPLC,DSC, polarizing microscopy and concluded as follows :1.Cyclic oligomeric components are separated at suitable HPLC condition. 2.Double melting peaks are shown in DSC curves, where the lower one is decreased with the increase of cyclic oligomer content. Crystallization temperature on cooling(Tcc) is increased with the increase of cyclic oligomer content in nylon 6, however, this tendency is reversed in nylon 11 and 12. This indicates that the increase of cyclic oligomer content accelerates crystallization rate in nylon 6 but retards it in nylon fl and 12. 3.The size of spherulite grows with the increase of cyclic oligomer content.
