Abstract

The solution-cast and melt-quenched PVDF films were drawn at various temperatures with or without dicumyl peroxide(DCP). The crosslinking agent was introduced at room temperature and crosslinks are intentionally formed during the hot-drawing stage. The drawn precursors with or without DCP usually contain form I and II crystals. The introduction of DCP does not change the deformation mode of the precursors. The crosslinked films exhibit the shift to a lower melting temperature. The solution-cast film was drawn to yield the h-c double orientation structure for the form II crystals.
