Abstract
Plasma polymerization of acrylic acid(AA) onto nylon 6 (PP-AA/nylon 6) film was studied in terms of discharge power(W), plasma polymerization time and sample position. The chemical structures of PP - AAInylon 6 films were systematically changed by controls of W and plasma polymerization time and which changes were enhanced dyeability of the films. The wettability of the films were evaluated by the measurement of contact angle against water onto PP - AA/nylon 6. In the case of Ar plasma treatment onto nylon 6 films the contact angle was 300 and changed remarkably to 50˚ after 30 days in air otherwise the values onto PP-AA/nylon 6 films were 34-37˚. It was confirmed that the stable wettability of the modified film was resulted from the cross-linked structure of the plasma polymers.
