Abstract
This study is carried out to compare theoretical formula of stitch length that have been studied so far to experimentals in order to find out optimum ones with respect to domestic two-bar tricot fabric. The results of study are as follows ; Grosberg's formula comply with formula GG for the front bar and formula G for the back bar. The theoretical fabric weight using the theoretical stitch length derived from Grosberg's formula is in good coincidence with experimental fabric weight. The personal computer, even in its smaller and simpler versions, facilitates this operation, and enables technologists to calculate the machine setting parameters relatively precisely before manufacturing trial product using these results of study. This helps them to save on time and materials which are very expensive today.
