Abstract
Various types of ethylene-propylene copolymers were synthesized with a dry TiCl3 (AA)-Et2AlCl catalyst system by sequential monomer addition using a gas-phase polymerization technique. The polymerization rare curves, observed in this polymerization system, are an acceleration type (gradually increasing rate with time). Monomer sequence distributions were examined by using 13C NMR spectroscopy. 13C NMR spectroscopy demonstrates as the most powerful method for the structural analysis of ethylene-propylene copolymers. The 'blockiness' nature of ethylene-propylene copolymers were observed in this polymerization stytem.
