Studies on Foam Dyeing -The Stability of Foam Containing Disperse Dye-

거품염색에 관한 연구 -분산염료 거품액의 안정성-

For the purpose of foam dyeing, the stability of foam is investigated at different blow ratio and stabilizer concentration. As a barometer of foam stability, bubble diameter, foam viscosity and volume of drained liquid from the foam were investigated with time passage. The distribution of disperse dye in the foam and the effect of sodium alginate stabilizer on it were measured as well. The relationship between foam volume and pressure on it was studied to know the stability of foam when the pressure on it changes. When foam is sucked by decreased pressure, its flow rate through a rubber hose and polyester fabric penetrating time were measured at different blow ratio and stabilizer concentration for its application.
