Abstract
Esterifying conditions to produce propylene glycol alginate (PGA) with alginic acid and propylene oxide were determined, and physico-chemical properties of the PGA were also determined. The rate of esterification increased with the content of propylene oxide up to 4 mole. Alginic acid containing
