Development of Chelate Resin Available for Disposal of Heavy Metal Waste and Recovery of Uranium from Seawater -Synthesis of chelate Resin matrix and Its Polymeric Reactions-
중금속 폐기물 처리와 해수 Uranium 채취에 이용될 수 있는 Chelate Resin의 개발에 관한 연구(I) -Chelate Resin Matrix의 제조와 그의 고분자 반응성-
Abstract
Chloromethylpolystyrene was synthesized as the precursors of chelate resin matrix available for recovery of uranium from seawater. The effect of various crosslinking agent, degree of crosslinking and external appearance of resin matrix on the chloromethylation have been investigated. High rate of chloromethylation was observed in ethylene geycol dimetlacrylate, butanediol dimethacrylate-crosslinked polystyrene compared to divinyl benzene-crosslinked polysyrene due to higher degree of swelling. In the chloromethylation reaction, maximum chlorine content was obtained between 1.5~2hour. After two hours, chlorine content decreased gradually due to autocrosslinking.
