Abstract

Effects of foaming temperature and composition of foaming liquor on foamability and properties of generated foam such as bubble size and its uniformity and stability against time passing were studied. Sodium lauryl sulfate as a foaming agent and methyl cellulose as a stablizer were used. For foamability, the volume of generated foam was measured and for bubble size and its uniformity, bubble diameter was measured and then its averge and standard deviation were calculated. For stability, bubble size and its distribution, foam viscosity, and drainage with time passing were measured.
