By the treatment of Gibberella fujkuroi I-892 with mutagen such as UV light and N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine, a mutant G. fujkuroi G-471 was selected as the highest producer of gibberellic acid among 800 mutant strains.
