전분으로부터 효모균체를 직접 생산하기 위하여 분리, 동정된 전분이용성 효모, Sporobolomyces holsaticus FRI Y-5의 배양중 전분자화특성에 대하여 검토하였다. 유기영양원인 yeast extract 첨가실험에서 균체량이 최고에 이르며 전분이용율도 높은 최적첨가량은 2.5g/l였다. 발효조배양실험에서 Sp. holsaticus의 비성장 속도는
Direct conversion of starchy materials to single cell protein of Sporobolomyces holsaticus FRI Y-5 was investigated. Effect of yeast extract concentration on its cell growth showed that it could utilize more of starch in the medium containing 2.5 g/l of yeast extract.
