Abstract
Hypertrophic pulmonary osteoarthropathy classically consists of clubbing of the fingers and toes, periosteal new bone formation in the tubular bones, painful swelling of limbs, arthralgia and arthritis. Its pathogenesis is uncertain, but it is usually associated with malignant or inflammatory intrathoracic disease.
