Simultaneous - Automated Determination of Nicotine Alkaloid, Reducing Sugar, Total Sugar and Ammonia on the Same Extract of Tobacco Leaf.

A procedure for the simultaneous determination of reducing sugar, nicotine alkaloid, total sugar and ammonia has been developed. The four components of tobacco extracted from ground tobacco sample with 2 % acetic acid were deter mined with a Technicon autoanalyzer system. The relative errors in burley and flue-cured tobacco leaves were 3.6% in comparison with each official methods.
