Abstract

Under the 9 different environmental conditions, skin temperature of working human body on the job of sewing and pressing was measured an analyzed. With the results of it, the new type of working clothes was redesigned for the more comfortable condition of human body. The summarized results of this study are as the followings; 1. Within the range of environmental temperature of 25$^{\circ}C$-30$^{\circ}C$, skin temperature increases in proportional to be environmental temperature. However the difference between skin temperatures of the parts is decreased as the relative humidity increases. 2. The order of skin temperature of the parts from high to low is occipital〉abdomen〉arm〉dorsum 3. Average skin temperature is higher when the human body is on the job of much energy expenditure than on the job of less energy expenditure. However the difference between the temperatures of parts of human body is less when the human body is on the job of much energy expenditure than on the job of less energy expenditure. 4. For the more comfortable working conditions for human body, we better give proper air layer for ventilation between clothes and body using the more stiff and dense fabric in working clothes.
