초록

The cease recovery of cellulose fiber was improved by treating with disulfide diisocyanates. Thus far, bis-β-isocyanatoethyl disulfide (BIED) has been used for the crosslinking agent. In this work, two new crosslinking agents, bis-γ-isocyanatopropyl disulfide (BIPD) and bisisocyanatomethyl disulfide (BIMD), were synthesized from γ,γ'-dithiodibutyric acid and dithiodiacetyl dihydrazide, respectively. Cotton cellulose was treated in dimethylacetamide solution with BIPD, BIMD, and BIED, and then reduced with tri-n-butyl-phosphine. The crosslinking efficiencies (crosslinks/total diisocyanate combined) of these fibers were calculated from the nitrogen contents determined by Kjeldahl method before (total diisocyanate combined) and after reduction. Changes in breaking strength and crease recovery were also investigated.
