A Study on the Physical Properties of the Core-Spun Yarn
코어방적사의 물성에 관한 연구
Abstract
Polyester core/cotton sheath core-spun yarns were produced on a conventional ring spinning frame. Effects of filament tension between tension devices and front rollers, spindle speeds, front top roll weights, and twists on tensile properties and covering conditions of core-spun yarns were studied. And also core-spun single yarns and sewing threads made from each of medium and high tenacity polyester filaments were compared. Increasing the filament tension resulted in better covering conditions. Less twists gave a better covering condition and worse imperfections on yarn. With the high tenacity filament, a stronger and less extensible core-spun single yarn and sewing thread were produced. Core-spun sewing threads made of medium and high tenacity filament showed a good evenness and a low shrinkage.
