Abstract

Attempts were made to investigate the sterol components of Boletus aerus Bull. which grows wildly in Korea. Its carpophores were collected in Gyeong-Gi Province and extracted with chloroform and methanol. A sterol was isolated and identified as ergosterol by T.L.C., G.L.C. and chemical tests.
