Grafting of Polyalanine onto Silk Fabrics

Polyalanine의 Graft에 의한 견직물의 고급화에 관한 연구

Silk fabrics, specially designed for exportation, was woven in pilot plant scale and the improvement of the seviceability through grafting with acrylamide was attempted. The grafting was carried out under the conditions of both radical and anionic polymerization proceed, in the presence of sodium methoxide, an initiator for anionic polymerization. The crease recovery property of the fabric was much improved without loss of dyeability with acid dyes by the grafting.
