Studies on the Reaction of Cellulose Derivative with Chlorophosphonitrile Compound

The reaction of sodium cellulosate with dichlorotriphosphazatriene was studied at various temperature in dioxane solvent. The following results were obtained; 1. Decreased molar ratio of sodium cellulosate to dichlorotriphosphazatriene induces higher phosphorus content on the cellulose derivative. 2. The reaction of dichlorotriphosphazatriene with sodium cellulosate is the second order reaction and rate constants are 3.11 ${\times}$10-2, 2.06${\times}$10-2 and 1.33${\times}$10-2ι/mol.sec at 50, 40 and 30$^{\circ}C$ respectively. 3. Activation energy of reaction is 8.51 kcal/mol.
