Studies on the Tin Weighting of Silk(Part 1) -Weighting Process and Whiteness-
견섬유의 주석염처리에 관한 연구(제1보) -증량처리와 백도-
Abstract
Using 12m/m habutate sample prepared by a weaving specification, the author studied a surface active agent degumming process, tin weighting processes, and effects of weighting process on weight increase and whiteness of habutae. The following results are obtained: 1. Hophnal MS degumming process is so effective that it can purify habutae, easily, economically, and in a short time. 2. Combined(pinking-phosphating)x-silicating process, of the tried processes, is most effective with respect to the weight increase of habutate; the effect becomes more apparent by dyeing. 3. Pinking increases the whiteness of weighted habutae, but both phosphating and silicating rather decrease the whiteness; the whiteness decrease is larger in silicating, and in the case of combined processes the effect is also combined.
