Studies on Waste Amount in the Process of Carding

In order to know the effect of the mote-knife guage on the amount of the card waste some experiments were carried out. The experiments were made under the various mote-knife guages, and the amount of the mote, flat-waste, card stripps and fly were measured. By the investigation of the experimental results it was known, though it had the limitation, that the card waste had decreased while mote-knife guages had widened.
