Effect of Ply Structure on the Bending Properties of Cotton Plied Yarns

Experimental studies have been done for the effect of ply number and cord twist on the bending properties of cotton plied yarns. It was shown that bending rigidity of yarns increases as the ply number increases and passes through a maximum value as cord twist increases. Experimental values from Mitex MKII tester are more variable than those by Carlene's loop method.
