PC User Segmentation based on user contextual inquiry interview analysis -Focusing on Soho, small and medium-sized businesses-

PC 사용자의 업무 행태분석을 통한 유형화 - 소호, 중소기업 사용자를 중심으로-

Now days with the significant grows of internet and PC hardware/software, most of the business, include small size business and soho, is worked by PC/Network. However these critical changes, all the PC/Network system or service is identical and these make user a inconvenient experience and unpleasant aspect to PC/Network. This research is to segment the user bases on the user context of using PC and all this segmentation was done in contextual design process. From Contextual Interview, all data of user context of environment, use case, needs, voices, break downs were captured and these data were interpreted and filtered to affinity notes and user modeling. After the interpretation, the consolidation was being held by affinity diagram, which could make ready to segment the user. For the result, 3 segmentation was evaluated and which are the 'Holistic Networker', 'Unplugged Controller' and 'Passive Reactor'.

현재 급속도로 성장하는 인터넷과, PC의 하드웨어, 소프트웨어를 기반으로, 대기업 외에도 중소기업, 소호에서도 대부분의 업무가 네트워크를 활용한 PC 기반으로 연화하고 있다. 하지만 각각의 업무 특성에 고려되지 않은 PC 환경은 사용자들에게 불편함을 야기시키고 이에 따라 각자 환경에 특성화된 PC/Network 서비스의 출현이 예고되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 소호와 중소기업을 대상으로 한 PC 사용자의 이용 행태를 맥락 질문법을 중심으로 이용 행태에 대한 Raw data 를 수집하였고, 분석에서는 Affinity Notes 와 사용자 Modeling 등의 해석 과정을 거쳐, 사용자의 PC/Network 사용 패턴, 환경, 행대 등을 Affinity Diagram 으로 분류화하였다. 분류화된 데이터와 사용자의 Metal Model 을 중심으로 크게 3 가지의 뚜렷한 사용자 이용 행태에 대한 유행을 도출할 수 있었다. 첫 번째 사용자 유행은 업무에 필요하다면 자유롭게 PC 및 네트워크를 사용하여 작업을 수행하는 'Holistic Networker' 이고, 두번째는 자신의 업무에 관해서는 능동적이지만 외적인 부분은 배타적이며 수동적인 'Unplugged Controller' 그리고 마지막 유형으로는 주어진 여건에서 벗어나지 않고 업무를 진행하는 'Passive Reactor'로 분류 할 수 있었다. 이러한 유행은 각각의 성향을 제시할 수 있었고, 이러한 유행과 성향을 바탕으로 PC/Network 기반 시스템제작 시, 서비스 정의, 기능 도출 등에 기초가 될 수 있을 것이라 본다.
